What a kundli actually needs
To cast a Vedic birth chart you need three inputs: date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth.
From those, software looks up where the planets were. Not a vibe. Not a sun-sign widget. Planetary positions, lunar mansions (nakshatras), strengths, aspects, and sunrise and sunset times.
BodhiRishi uses the Swiss Ephemeris for that lookup. It is the same astronomical engine used by professional astrology software. Everything is computed on our servers, not approximated in the browser.
Without an ephemeris, you do not have a kundli. You have text that sounds like one.
What ChatGPT is doing instead

Chart-specific, not sun-sign
Vedic astrology emphasizes the Moon sign and 27 nakshatras. It uses the Sidereal zodiac, which tracks actual star positions. Western sun-sign content uses the Tropical zodiac, tied to the seasons.
Due to the precession of equinoxes, your Vedic sign is often one sign earlier than your Western sign. That difference only shows up if the chart is calculated.
A kundli also carries Vimshottari Dasha: a 120-year timeline divided among 9 planets, unique to the Moon’s nakshatra at birth. Mahadasha periods last 6 to 20 years. Antardasha periods sit inside them. A language model cannot assign your current period without that calculation.
